Ambulatory Surgical Center

Premier Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) is a unique and rare outpatient neurosurgical center. The state of-the-art facility was built in 2012 and contains an operating room and procedure rooms with the best quality surgical equipment. In the ASC we are able to perform a wide array of procedures ranging from noninvasive procedures to complex anesthesia required surgeries. The surgery center began treating patients in early 2013 and have since performed hundreds of same day surgeries and noninvasive procedures.

How long will my surgery take and how long will I be in recovery?

Each patient is different and surgery times can vary depending on a wide range of factors like type of surgery/procedure, age, and medical conditions. Our team of physicians and nurses will be able to discuss surgery and recovery times with you on your pre-op visits.

May I drive home after my surgery/procedure?

The day of your your surgery or procedure, you will NOT be able to drive. You are required to have a friend or family member drive you home.

What if my surgery is not a same day surgery?

Some neurosurgical procedure have longer recovery times and require overnight stays in the hospital. If this is the case for you, your surgery will be performed at Wellstar-Kennestone Hospital.
